Potential health

May promote wound healing.

Provides antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress.
May support heart health by improving cholesterol and reducing inflammation.

May help relieve dry eyes and dry mouth in some people.

FLAXSEED OIL

Flaxseed oil is extracted from flax seeds. It is one of the richest plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3,6,9 fatty acid.
Potential health benefits.

Supports heart health.
May help lower inflammation.

Can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels.

May support brain function, although more research is needed.
May improve skin hydration and reduce dryness.

Note: Flaxseed oil contains little to no fiber or lignans. Whole or ground flaxseed provides those additional nutrients.

BOTH IN ONE FORMULATION:

It depends on your goal:
For heart health: Flaxseed oil is an excellent plant-based omega-3 source.

For skin and dryness: Sea buckthorn oil may offer additional benefits because of its omega-7 and antioxidant content.
For general nutrition: They can complement each other, as they provide different fatty acids.
If you already eat oily fish (such as salmon) 2–3 times a week, you may not need extra omega-3 supplements unless recommended by your healthcare provider.
If you have a bleeding disorder, take blood-thinning medication, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider before starting either supplement.
